Most of what is on thankgod.space is original, The Science of God, the journal articles, the visual design. We respect copyright and ask the same of our readers. This page sets out (a) what is licensed for reuse, and (b) how to file a DMCA notice if you believe content here infringes your rights.
What is licensed for reuse
- Quotations from The Science of God: short excerpts (under ~300 words) may be quoted with attribution to "The Science of God, thankgod.space". The work is meant to be passed on.
- Journal articles: link freely. Quote up to ~150 words with attribution. Republishing whole articles requires written permission, write to us first.
- Visual design, logo, code: copyright is reserved. Please do not reuse the wordmark or visual treatment without permission.
For anything beyond the above, ask. We rarely say no.
How to file a DMCA notice
If you are the copyright owner (or the owner's authorised agent) and believe content on thankgod.space infringes your copyright, send a written notice that includes all six items required by the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorised agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material on thankgod.space claimed to be infringing, please include URLs.

- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Send the notice to:
- Email: blessed@thankgod.space (subject line: "DMCA notice")
We act on properly-formed notices within ten business days, usually faster.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe the takedown was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice with the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Send to the same address.
Repeat infringers
We do not host user-generated content at launch, so there is no posting history to police. If that changes, we will publish a repeat-infringer policy and apply it consistently.
Outside the United States
We honour the spirit of the EU Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market and equivalent regimes. Notices that meet the DMCA's substantive requirements are sufficient regardless of jurisdiction.
